COMMITTEE ON MIGRANT WORKERS
The Committee on Migrant Workers is currently composed of 14 independent experts (persons of high moral character, impartiality and recognized competence in the field covered by the International Convention on the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of their Families).
Members are elected for a term of four years by States parties in accordance with article 72 of the Convention. Members serve in their personal capacity and may be re-elected if nominated.

Written solemn declarations
In accordance with Rule 11 of the Rules of procedure of the Committee, each member of the Committee, before assuming her or his duties after her or his first election, shall make a solemn declaration in open Committee. The newly elected members made their solemn declaration in written form, in order to have a functioning Committee with the inclusive participation of all its members.
At the opening of the Committee’s thirty-fourth session, on 28 March 2022, the newly elected members* will then make the solemn declaration orally in public meeting.
