Informal meeting with States and other stakeholders
Wednesday, 5 September, Palais des Nations, Room XVI.
The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the various activities of the Committee, including promotional activities and advocacy initiatives with partners, the Global Compact on Migration, the working methods of the Committee, the new general comment on the right to liberty and protection against arbitrary detention of migrants, and challenges relating to ratification of the Convention.

Registration
The United Nations has launched a new online accreditation platform (Indico). Members of Civil Society and representatives of National Human Rights Institutions and others who wish to attend any sessions of the Committee are required to register individually online. Registration forms used in the past are no longer accepted.
The 29th session of the CMW Committee will be open for online registration from 23 July to 6 September 2018.
